Warmer home. Lower heating bills. Built for real winters.
Serving Flagstaff, Prescott, Sedona, and Williams with spray foam, blown-in, attic insulation, and air sealing — built for a genuine high-elevation Northern Arizona winter, not desert heat. More comfort, lower propane and electric heating bills, and honest rebate guidance.
Insulate smarter, heat for less
Tell us your home, your town, and what's bugging you — cold floors, ice dams, a manufactured home that won't hold heat, a Sedona rental with a chilly review — and we'll build a quote that fits, rebates included.
- Cut winter heating bills
- Stop ice dams & frozen pipes
- Even out cold, drafty rooms
Northern Arizona winters punish a home. We make yours ready for it.
Flagstaff and Williams sit at roughly 6,700–6,910 ft in genuine IECC Climate Zone 5B — heavy snow, hard freezes, and a real four-season winter. Prescott and Sedona are lower and milder, but still solidly Zone 4B, with freezing nights most of the winter. Wherever you are in our service area, heat doesn't stay in your living space if the building envelope is leaky — it escapes through under-insulated attics and walls, shows up as cold floors and drafty rooms, and drives up your propane or electric heat-pump bill every single month. Doing it right, for your specific elevation and climate zone, is what we specialize in.
We install the full range — spray foam, blown-in, and batt & roll — and we pair it with air sealing so your home stops leaking heat through gaps and cracks. The result is a warmer home, steadier room temperatures, and a furnace or heat pump that finally gets a break.
And because ice dams and frozen pipes are real risks here — not hypotheticals — we build every attic and crawlspace job around stopping them before they start, targeting R-49 in Flagstaff and Williams and R-38–R-49 in Prescott and Sedona.

Northern Arizona insulation FAQs
It depends on which town. Flagstaff sits at roughly 6,910 ft and Williams at about 6,750 ft — both genuine IECC Climate Zone 5B winters with average lows in the high teens°F and around 81 inches of snow a year in Flagstaff. Prescott (~5,400 ft) and Sedona (~4,500 ft) are milder Zone 4B climates — real winters with freezing nights, but less extreme than Flagstaff or Williams. None of it is desert Arizona.
In Flagstaff and Williams (Zone 5B), code targets roughly R-49 in the attic. In Prescott and Sedona (Zone 4B), the target is closer to R-38–R-49. Both are well above the R-13–R-30 that a lot of older regional homes were built or last insulated to. We size the target to your specific town and home, not a one-size-fits-all number.
It depends on the space. Spray foam delivers the highest R-value per inch plus an air seal, which is ideal for rim joists, crawlspaces, and stopping cold-air infiltration at the source. Blown-in is fast and cost-effective for topping off attics. Batt is a reliable, economical choice in open framing and new construction. We design the right combination for your home rather than pushing one product for every job.
UniSource Energy Services offers an air sealing and insulation rebate (50% of installed cost, up to $800) for qualifying homes built in 2005 or earlier. The City of Flagstaff also runs a Home Weatherization & Energy Rebate Program with income-scaled funding that reopens on a fiscal-year cycle. APS eliminated its residential efficiency rebates in 2026, and the federal 25C/25D tax credits expired December 31, 2025 — so we check what's actually live for your address rather than promising a number that may be outdated.
We serve Flagstaff, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Sedona, and Williams, plus the surrounding Coconino and Yavapai County high country — Chino Valley, Cottonwood, Bellemont, Munds Park, and Kachina Village. If you're nearby and not sure whether you're in our service area, just give us a call.
Yes — this is a genuine, common problem in Flagstaff and Williams especially. Ice dams form when heat leaking from your living space melts roof snow unevenly, which refreezes at the colder eaves. Frozen pipes happen when crawlspaces, rim joists, and exterior walls aren't properly insulated and sealed. Attic air sealing, proper insulation depth, and crawlspace/pipe protection are the direct fix for both.
